Many children and adolescents today aren’t enrolled in primary and secondary education. Even those who are enrolled, for many of them, schooling does not lead to learning – and this was before COVID-19 disrupted learning across the globe. Now, there is an urgent need to rededicate ourselves to education.

We are working to fix the challenges of outdated teachers, inadequate learning materials, makeshift classes and poor sanitation facilities which make learning difficult for many children. Others come to school too hungry, sick or exhausted from work or household chores to benefit from their lessons.

This education and learning crisis is a great challenge to preparing children and adolescents for life, work and active citizenship.
